Charlie Puth has canceled Saturday’s (June 6) show in Orlando, Florida, citing illness for several days and being advised to take time off to recover for the remaining shows. world tour.
“I’m devastated that this has happened, but I have to cancel tonight’s show,” he wrote on his Instagram Story Saturday afternoon. “I have been feeling unwell for the past few days and have been instructed to rest or else risk canceling further dates on this tour.”
Puth’s statement continued: “Performing in front of you every night means everything to me and you deserve the best. I am heartbroken but physically unable to perform. Without your voice, I cannot give you the show you deserve.”
“I am so sorry and this was not an easy decision to make, but I hope to see you again as soon as I am well again,” he wrote.
Orlando’s Addition Financial Arena shared Puth’s statement on social media, providing additional details to ticket holders: “We here at the arena apologize for the delay as we awaited the final decision. Charlie Puth’s Whatever’s Clever tour scheduled for tonight is canceled without rescheduling. Please contact the original point of purchase for a refund.”
Puth’s schedule currently calls for him to play in Nashville on June 9th before heading to Texas. After the US tour ends, the next tour will be in Europe.
He recently graced the stage at Madison Square Garden in New York City, where he brought special guests on stage including Art Garfunkel, Jimmy Fallon, Busta Rhymes, and Kirk Franklin.
