With the 2026 FIFA World Cup just days away, SiriusXM is rolling out unique ways for soccer fans to get excited for the game. In addition to broadcasting live games, SiriusXM has tapped many players from this year’s U.S. men’s team to create curated DJ sets featuring your favorite artists.
In addition to performing the songs of their choice, they will talk about why the songs and artists are meaningful to them and share some stories from their careers. The selection was made by two of the team’s goaltenders, New England Revolution teammates Matt Turner and Matt Freese. Turner’s selection will be featured on The Heat (Channel 46), where he will perform songs by Drake, Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Thames, Justin Bieber and John Summitt.
Defender Mark McKenzie’s selection will hit Hip Hop Nation (Channel 44), where he will perform songs by Jazz Donnell, 2 Jays and Coffey, while FC Cincinnati star defender Myles Robinson’s lineup on the channel will include songs by Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, J. Cole, Burna Boy, Ye and Chance the Rapper. Columbus Crew winger Max Arksten will also be in attendance.
Additionally, international players will be participating, including New Zealand native and Portland Timbers defender Finn Thurman, who will feature songs by Tame Impala, Drake, Nelly Furtado and Rihanna in a 10-second spot (ch.11). Soccer coach and commentator Eric Wynalda, who represented the United States in the 1990 and 1994 World Cups, will inject some metal into the proceedings with his selection of Ozzy’s Boneyard (Episode 38), featuring songs by Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Black Sabbath and Judas Priest. Another former player and current Fox Sports analyst, Alexi Laras, also participated in the playlist stunt.
Additionally, Ecuadorian forward Leonardo Campana, who plays for the New England Revolution and the Ecuadorian national team, and Paraguayan midfielder Miguel Almiron (Atlanta United, Paraguayan national team) will provide DJ sets on the Caliente Channel (152). Also look for sets from Emil Forsberg (Sweden), Kamal Miller (Canada), Derrick Etienne Jr. (Haiti), and more. Guest DJ sets will be broadcast multiple times on each channel during the tournament.
SiriusXM will also carry English-language coverage of all 104 games of the tournament presented by FOX Sports. Broadcasts from the United States, Canada, and Mexico are primarily broadcast on Fox Sports on SiriusXM (ch. 83). If two games are played at the same time, one will be broadcast on SiriusXM FC (ch. 157).
The first match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held on Thursday (June 11), with the U.S. Men’s National Team opening the tournament against Paraguay in Group D on Friday (June 12) at 9:00 PM ET. In addition to live coverage of the games, SiriusXM will provide listeners with in-depth coverage every day during the tournament on its 24/7 soccer channel SiriusXM FC. The FIFA World Cup final will be held on July 19th.
