On the Billboard Japan Hot 100 released on June 17th, Sakurazaka46’s “Lonesome Rabbit” soared to number one.

The title song of the popular girl group’s 15th single, “Lonesome Rabbit / What’s “KAZOKU”?”, became the top seller with 683,481 copies sold in the first week, ranking 6th in downloads, 14th in streaming numbers, 50th in radio airplay, and 95th in video views.

Sakanaction’s “Night Dancer” rose four places to take second place, and Karaoke rose 109% from the previous week. Although the overall points dropped, it returned to number one in streaming for the first time in two weeks.

Arashi had multiple titles on the chart this week as well, with three songs in the top 10, including “Five” in 3rd place, “Love so sweet” in 9th place, and “Happiness” in 10th place. A total of 19 titles from widely loved boy bands were ranked in the top 100.

Sakanaction’s “Kaiju” has significantly increased its ranking from 61st to 30th after winning eight awards including Song of the Year, Best Rock Song, and Best Anime Song at the MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2026 award ceremony held on June 13th. Downloads rose 153% from the previous week, streaming rose 107% and video jumped 165%. The latter was boosted by the track’s visuals, which won Best Music Video. Additionally, after the Michael Jackson biopic was released in domestic theaters on June 12th, Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” rose to 50th place and “Billie Jean” rose to 61st place in this week’s tally.

The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, audio streams, radio airplay, video views, and karaoke data.
