Ariana Grande is sowing the seeds of a new era.

On April 28, the pop star announced her long-awaited eighth studio album, “Petal,” on Instagram. He previously said he would need “another brain and four arms” to release a new album this summer, but he began hinting at the possibility in March. One of those hints came in the form of a flower emoji on her Instagram profile. Some people have leaked photos of her in the recording studio.

No wonder Grande said she needed a clone of herself to release a new album soon. Her schedule is completely packed. In November, Starr concluded the Wicked saga with the release of Wicked: For Good. In early April, Universal Pictures released a trailer for Grande’s next big-screen release, Focker in Law, and the fourth part of the Meet the Parents series was scheduled to be released this Thanksgiving. In 2027, she will make her West End debut in a revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park with George. All the while, her makeup venture, REM Beauty, has been releasing new products and doing photo shoots starring the singer.

“Petal” is the follow-up to Grande’s 2024 album “Eternal Sunshine,” which topped the Billboard 200. In addition to topping the album charts, Eternal Sunshine produced two No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, “Yes, And?” and “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love).” Petal comes midway through Grande’s Eternal Sunshine Tour, which kicks off June 8th in Oakland, California, and concludes September 1st in London.

From release date to album content, find out everything we know so far about Petal below.

release date

“Petal” will be released on July 31st.

Grande released the official album jacket on Instagram on April 28th. The artwork features a close-up black and white photo of the singer smiling with her brunette hair flowing over her face.

Grande executive produced and co-wrote the album with longtime collaborator Ilya, with whom she has worked since her 2018 album Sweetener.

Fans can now pre-order Petal in digital and physical formats (including vinyl, CD, and cassette) here.

The song is “Feral”

In a video posted to Instagram on May 7, Grande shared details about the album to her team. “It’s kind of wild,” she says of Petal in the clip. “It’s definitely coming from a place where I’ve always been shy or polite. This is just like, ‘Fuck you.’

Grande announced on May 8th that Petal’s lead single will be titled “Hate That I Made You Love Me” and will be released on May 29th.

The song, which was co-produced by Max Martin with Grande and Ilya, was announced on her Instagram, saying, “It’s one of my favorite songs I’ll ever write.” “I can’t wait for it to be yours.”
