Dolly Parton has a very specific thank you request for newlyweds Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey.
After the couple donated $2 million to Parton’s Imagination Library ahead of their wedding, the country icon shared a video message thanking Swift and Kelsey for the gift, before jokingly asking if they could have their first child.
“Taylor, Travis and Dolly,” Parton said in the video. “I just heard that the two of you are making a $2 million donation to my Imagination Library. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am truly touched and honored by your gratitude.”
“It’s clear now that you both have made giving back an important part of your lives,” Parton continued. “So, when you have your firstborn, can I carry it? Because it’s going to be a special baby.”
Parton also emphasized that the Dollywood Foundation’s mission is to “dream more, care more, learn more and grow more,” adding that the organization will continue that mission “in an even bigger way” with the couple’s gift.
“So thank you, and know that I’ll always love you,” she said, briefly singing a line from her 1974 classic “I Will Always Love You.”
The donation was made as part of a broader philanthropic effort surrounding Swift and Kelsey’s wedding. The couple has donated $26 million to charities across the country, including organizations in New York City, Rhode Island, and Kansas City, as well as national organizations such as Parton’s Imagination Library, Feeding America, and the ASPCA.
Swift and Kelsea married on Friday (July 3) at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The two announced their engagement in August 2025 after dating for two years.
Swift’s representatives confirmed the happy news in a press release, revealing that the pop superstar and football player wore an outfit designed by Christian Dior Haute Couture. Although the couple didn’t have traditional bridesmaids or groomsmen, the release revealed that Swift’s brother Austin was her man of honor and Jason Kelce was Travis’ groomsman. Actor and comedian Adam Sandler officiated the wedding.
