Laughter is the best medicine! Amid her divorce from Jelly Roll, Bunny Zoe returns with a new episode of her podcast Dumb Blonde, joking that she’s done serving her sentence just like a certain inmate DMs her.
In a clip from the episode posted to her Instagram on Thursday (June 25), Bunny looks through some of the wildest messages she’s received since her breakup with the country star became public in early June. One of the cases was from a man who was scheduled to be released soon after 10 years in prison and who claimed he wanted to have sex with his girlfriend once he was released.
“In 10 years, he might need it,” joked Bunny’s friend Meme Shahan.
“Same,” Bunny said at the perfect time, causing everyone in the room to burst into laughter. “I just got out of a 10-year bid too, hey, what are you talking about?”
The memoir author was married to Jerry for almost 10 years before filing for divorce in May. That fact came to light just a few weeks ago when TMZ uncovered court documents. A week before the latest episode of Dumb Blonde, Bunny explained on her podcast that she and her ex-boyfriend are still good friends, even though she felt blindsided by Jerry’s decision to get upset and suggest she file the paperwork.
Still, she thinks she might not like it when the Grammy winner jokingly compares their marriage to a prison sentence. “I’ll call you,” Bunny added good-naturedly. “J would call me like, ‘Oh my god?'” That was a joke! I’m just cutting the rug, buddy. ”
Before the new episode was released, Bunny took to Instagram in a hilarious clip to poke fun at the thirsty men who have been filling up her DMs since their breakup went public. “Send help,” she joked at the time.
The video sparked fans’ curiosity about what kind of message she received, prompting Bunny to share more details about her latest podcast episode. She revealed that in addition to convicts, there are “some rappers that literally say ‘yo’ in my DMs.”
However, it is important to note that these wrappers do not work well with two-character messages. “I have to give you something more,” said Bunny. “I never respond to ‘yo’.”
