Harry Styles and his British fans feel the same way, especially when their country wins a World Cup match.
Like countless other artists around the world, British pop stars and concertgoers gathered at London’s Wembley Stadium before the start of the Together Show on Wednesday (July 1), glued to their screens as England staged a thrilling comeback against the Democratic Republic of the Congo on the other side of the world. The match was displayed on the jumbotron in the huge arena, allowing Styles and the tens of thousands of fans in attendance to watch the match together.
As time ran out and England secured their second-ever victory at the world championships, video showed Styles rushing out of one of the stadium’s entrances and briefly joining the celebrating crowd, jumping wildly, pumping his fists and hugging friends on the floor near the stage. He waved to the fans seated above before disappearing into the backstage area.
Shortly after, Styles – who previously proved he was a football fan by attending a Manchester United Premier League match in 2024 – will return to the stage for the 10th of 12 Wembley shows on his ‘Together Together’ tour route, which began with a mini-residency in Amsterdam in May. This trek supports his 2026 album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally debuted atop the Billboard 200 and produced the No. 1 hit “Aperture” on the Billboard Hot 100.
By the time England play Mexico in their next World Cup match on Sunday (July 5), Styles will have already completed his stay at the London Stadium. His next stop will be Sao Paulo, followed by Mexico City, New York City, Melbourne and Sydney.
