Katy Perry is feeling all the fireworks with Justin Trudeau as she attended the premiere of her Lifetimes tour concert film on Monday (June 8) at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.
And during the Q&A portion of the night, a clip of which was captured by USA Today, the pop star spoke candidly about her relationship with the politician and how it changed her life while on the road. “I’m so in love,” she said, drawing cheers from the OKX Theater audience.
He called Trudeau “the love of my life,” adding that despite the turmoil of the tour, his relationship with him “felt very solid.” “I fly very high,” she added. “Sometimes I just need that support. Having that support finally makes me feel truly whole.”
Perry previously dated Orlando Bloom, with whom he has a young daughter, Daisy Dove. Roughly two months after she began her LifeTimes journey in April 2025, a representative for the former couple confirmed to Billboard that they had broken up after nine years together.
“Orlando and Katie have transitioned their relationship in recent months to focus on co-parenting,” a statement read at the time. “They will continue to be seen as a family, as their shared priorities are and will be to raise their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
A month later, Trudeau attended the pop star’s Lifetimes performance in Montreal and was caught on fan footage of him appearing entranced as he belted out his hit song “Firework,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Fans have been watching their romance unfold ever since, and they even made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Tribeca premiere.
The show, which was included in Perry’s new concert film, supported her 2024 album 143, which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200.
