Niall Horan has hinted that his Australian fans won’t have to wait too long for a return visit, revealing tour dates will be announced shortly after the release of his latest album, Dinner Party.

Appearing on Australia/New Zealand’s Rolling Stone magazine’s podcast ‘Rolling Stone Uncut’, Niall revealed plans were already in the works for a trip Down Under to support his newly released fourth studio album.

“It’s definitely going to be down early next year,” Horan told the publication. “We haven’t gotten to the announcement part yet, but it’s definitely going to be a let down. [and] I can’t wait. ”

“I just love being there and I love playing shows there,” he added.

Although Horan could not confirm dates, venues or ticket details, the comments are the clearest indication yet that an Australian tour announcement is imminent. The singer last visited the area in 2024 for The Show Live on Tour.

Tour previews have arrived as Horan releases his first studio album “Dinner Party” since 2023’s “The Show.” The new set sees him continue the solo career that made him one of One Direction’s most successful members after the group’s hiatus.

Horan’s debut solo album, Flicker, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2017, making him the first member of One Direction to top the chart with a solo album. His subsequent albums, Heartbreak Weather and The Show, also topped the Billboard 200, and singles such as “Slow Hands,” “This Town,” “Nice to Meet Ya,” “Heaven,” and “Meltdown” helped establish him as a global solo star.

In a separate interview with Pedestrian, Horan spoke about the personal inspiration behind some of the songs on Dinner Party. The album’s title track tells the story of how he met his long-term partner, Amelia Woolley.

“We literally met at a dinner party and are still together,” Horan said. “For me, it’s like a once-in-a-lifetime thing where you’re hit by something you never expected. You don’t realize it at the time, you’re not looking for it.”

Elsewhere, Horan revealed that the song “Flowers” was inspired by a fan tweet he found while writing the album.

“While I was writing the song, I saw a tweet online that said, ‘Flowers may bloom in your eyes,’ and I thought it was a great concept,” he said. “I love the idea that someone can do something so powerful and unrealistic.”

No official dates have been announced for Australia, but Horan’s comments suggest fans can expect news sooner rather than later.
