Noah Kahan has issued a PSA to fans at his concert on Friday night (June 26) after there was apparently poop strewn across the floor of the seats, as seen in a clip taken by a fan from the venue that went viral this weekend.
Maybe someone brought an unpotty trained child to a show at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. Maybe this mess was the work of an adult, who had some kind of unavoidable gastrointestinal emergency and sneaked away from the scene after things got worse. Either way, Kahan kindly reminded fans to find the nearest bathroom when it’s time for their next bowel movement.
“If you have to poop at a show, please God, just go to the bathroom. I’ve pooped in my pants as much as the next 29-year-old, but you have to understand that there will be venue employees with a 1000-yard stare after you deal with it,” he wrote to X the day after the show.
“I’m on stage in Charlottesville because I’m dedicated to my craft,” Kayhan, whose album “The Great Divide” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in May, said in follow-up comments.
In response, someone at X, who conveniently goes by the name Turd Ferguson, said, “‘As good as the next 29-year-old’ should equal f-ing ZERO, what the hell are you talking about??”
“Okay, bastard Ferguson,” Kayhan replied, maintaining the lighthearted tone of his original message.
This all comes on the heels of fellow singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo recently sharing that she once smelled a fan in the front row wearing a diaper on stage. What an amazing week to be alive and reporting on live music.
See Kahan’s reaction to the Philadelphia poop incident below. He’s next scheduled to perform in Toronto, Canada, on Sunday night (June 28), where concertgoers will heed his advice about bathroom breaks. The Great Divide Tour continues through December.
