Olivia Rodrigo leads this week’s New Music Friday with her captivating third studio album, led by the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Drop Dead” and Top 5 hit “The Cure” (No. 5). Another emotional journey guided by the three-time Grammy Award winner and her longtime collaborator Dan Nigro, You They’re Pretty Sad features 13 heart-wrenching indie-rock and pop-infused songs, this time bringing out The Cure’s Robert Smith for standout track ‘What’s Wrong With Me.’
Bebe Rexha’s Dirty Blonde and Infinity Song’s new LP of the same name were also among this week’s most talked-about new full-length releases. The former marks the “New Religion” singer’s first album release since partnering with EMPIRE, while the latter is the latest evolution of the Detroit alternative rock family band. On the singles side, BTS takes the lead by bringing the group’s ARIRANG Deluxe Vinyl exclusive bonus track “Come Over” to streaming platforms. The release of the song celebrates the 13th anniversary of the group’s debut and is released during the annual Festa celebrations. BigHit previously said in a statement about the song, “This song was created with the utmost care and sincerity,” adding, “It is a song that captures the sincere emotions of artists as they prepare to reunite with their fans after a long hiatus.”
On the other side of the musical spectrum, rocker Jack White performed his latest take on “Dollar Bill” from his recently announced new album, released July 10th. Jamaican dancehall star Aietian, who emerged as the genre’s most nominated act at the 2026 Caribbean Music Awards, drops a poignant new single titled “Chip,” while Grammy Award-winning North Carolina MC Rapsody teams up with the Calabo Yamorena Choir for “God Gotta Afro.”
