This week, RÜFÜS DU SOL makes history as EDM acts converge on Madison Square Garden, perhaps the most famous arena in the world.

The Australian trio are set to set a new benchmark on Thursday, June 25, with the first of four consecutive sold-out shows. This is the most tickets sold by an electronic artist at MSG, and the most tickets sold at the venue by an electronic artist.

RDS has been making history recently. As previously reported, their Inhale/Exhale World Tour was recognized as the best-selling electronic tour of all time, setting multiple records in Australia and New Zealand.

The Sydneysiders completed their 2025 Australian tour with a sold-out third of three hometown shows at the country’s largest arena, Afterpay Arena (then known as Qdos Bank Arena), in November last year, with 150,000 tickets sold nationwide and a total of 750,000 headline tickets for the year.

Along the way, the trio became the second Australian act after AC/DC and the first electronic group to headline Los Angeles’ Rose Bowl Stadium, and played a string of high-profile festival spots including Chicago’s Lollapalooza. They performed in front of around 1.5 million fans around the world on their Inhale/Exhale World Tour and presented commemorative plaques to Sydneysiders, according to concert promoter Live Nation and independent Melbourne events specialist Untitled Group.

There will be even more big moments for RDS’s Tyrone Lindqvist, John George and James Hunt in the coming weeks, including a headline spot in front of over 60,000 music fans at Mexico City’s Foro Sol on Saturday, July 4th. This tour also sees RDS tour iconic ballparks such as Chicago’s Wrigley Field (Cubs), Boston’s Fenway Park (Red Sox), and San Diego’s Petco Park (Padres).

The ongoing North American ’26 Tour is in support of their 2024 fifth studio album, Inhale/Exhale (Rose Avenue Records/Warner Music Australia), which peaked at #3 on the ARIA Charts and continues to earn podium finishes on all Australian recordings. In addition to her historic moments, RDS has won four ARIA Awards in her career, received six Grammy nominations, and won Best Dance/Electronic Recording in 2022 for “Alive.”
