Stevie Nicks brought a legendary feel to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.
The iconic Fleetwood Mac singer performed at the superstar couple’s wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Friday (July 3), Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts confirmed during Saturday’s broadcast. Roberts and his GMA colleagues George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan were among the guests in attendance.
“I can confirm that Stevie Nicks actually performed,” Roberts said on the show.
According to the New York Times, Swift also participated in a sound check with the Knicks at Madison Square Garden early Friday morning.
At press time, it was unclear which song Nicks would perform at the ceremony or whether Swift would join the iconic singer on stage.
Swift and the Knicks have shared a close friendship over the years. The two performed together at the 2010 Grammy Awards, and Nicks later contributed a poem to Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Division” titled “For T – and me,” which appears on the physical version of the album. Swift also mentioned Nicks on the closing track of her 2024 album Standard Edition, “Clara Bow.”
After Swift and Kelsea got engaged, Nicks praised the couple in an interview with Rolling Stone, saying, “I think she’s in a good place right now and has a good man.”
Looking back on the ceremony, GMA’s Stephanopoulos said, “Considering the venue was Madison Square Garden, it couldn’t have been more intimate,” and said of the venue, “There was a very beautiful garden within the garden.”
“It’s hard to imagine that a wedding in such a big place, with so many stars, could feel so personal.”
Roberts also revealed that Swift and Kelsey wrote their own vows, and Stephanopoulos revealed that the couple had a “little book” with them as they stood together at the altar. Strahan summed up the celebration by calling it a “dream wedding.”
Actor and comedian Adam Sandler served as master of ceremonies, according to a statement released to Billboard by the pop superstar’s representatives. The Wedding Singer star also performed a humorous yet heartfelt original song celebrating a couple’s love, TMZ reported.
The couple welcomed an A-list guest list but chose not to have traditional bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, Swift’s younger brother, Austin Swift, served as her man of honor, and Jason Kelce served as her brother’s chaperone.
The pop superstar and footballer wore a custom haute couture design by Christian Dior for the ceremony.
Shortly after they exchanged vows, a giant screen outside MSG announced that they had both said “I do.” “We just got married!” the screen says.
Among the many celebrities arriving at the venue were Jack Antonoff, Mariska Hargitay, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Benson Boone and Camila Cabello.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end proposed to the 14-time Grammy Award winner in August 2025. They announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post, writing, “Your English teacher and gym teacher are getting married!”
