Taylor Swift and the New York Knicks danced through lightning on Wednesday night (June 10).
After a thrilling game against the San Antonio Spurs, the New York team came back stronger than they tended to in the 90s and won their third of four games in the NBA Finals. With a 107-106 victory, the Knicks were one win away from winning their first championship since 1973, and there was plenty of celebration when the buzzer sounded, and the pop superstar was happy to join in.
In a video posted by the NBA, Swift, who was sitting courtside at Madison Square Garden with Mariska Hargitay, Alana and Este Haim, was seen walking out of the arena with her friends, spotting the Knicks City Dancers, and immediately starting cheering and jumping up and down. One of them takes the 14-time Grammy Award winner’s hand and spins her around as Swift runs further into the crowd.
Swift was just one of many star players in attendance for Game 4, with veteran Knicks fans Timothée Chalamet and Ben Stiller also sitting courtside. Kylie Jenner was also there, along with actor Marty Supreme. After the game, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star gave the Elas Tour headliner a hug on court (despite Swift’s possible past drama with one of Jenner’s older sisters).
The latest Knicks game comes after Swift appeared at the Toy Story 5 premiere in Los Angeles, where she performed her new songs “I Knew It, I Knew You” and “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” with Randy Newman, during the Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony in New York on Thursday (June 11), where she will become the youngest female artist ever inducted. She previously attended a Knicks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game with her fiancé, Travis Kelce, in May.
