The White House is considering Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding in a social media post mocking the superstar couple’s celebration at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
Given the well-documented feud between President Donald Trump and the pop superstar, it wasn’t much of a surprise that the White House shared an edited image on social media after Swift and Kelsey tied the knot on Friday (July 3).
In the doctored photo, the venue’s digital marquee had been changed to read, “Trump is your president.”
“It happened!!!” Whitehouse captioned the X meme.
The post referenced the actual marquee outside the iconic New York City venue that Madison Square Garden shared on Instagram to mark the occasion. The original sign read “JUST&T MARRIED!” Black letters on a pink background confirmed that the couple was married.
Early Friday morning, the White House shared another image referencing Swift on its official X account, as well as an Elas Tour-inspired poster featuring Trump. The caption read, “It’s been a long time…”
Trump and Swift have been at loggerheads since 2018, with tensions rising over Swift’s support for Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election. President Trump later responded by posting, “I hate Taylor Swift!” In true social.
The president has since taken a more conciliatory stance following Swift’s engagement last August to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
“No, I think he’s a great player and I think he’s a great man,” President Trump told the Cabinet. “I think she’s a great person, so I wish them all the best.”
