YUNGBLUD has received support from fellow musicians and celebrities after sharing an emotional post about online criticism, industry skepticism and accusations that he is an “industry plant.”

British artist Dominic Harrison opened up on social media after he headlined Broodfest in Kralove, Czech Republic, becoming visibly emotional on stage in front of thousands of fans. In a lengthy caption, he said he debated whether to share the clip because he didn’t want the moment to seem histrionic, but ultimately decided to post it because “this is what happened and it’s real.”

“To tell you the truth, I’ve been really struggling lately,” Yungblud wrote, adding that he “fell ill” while showering alone after leaving the stage on a high.

He went on to explain the difficulty of handling big career moments in an era where artists are expected to move quickly from one milestone to the next. “It’s so strange to be an artist in this day and age, because everything moves so fast,” he writes.

Yungblud also addressed the criticism he received growing up, writing that the “amount of hate and distrust” from strangers and “vicious musicians” online weighed heavily on him. He said all he had tried to do over the past 10 years was “spread love, build what I believe in, and bring people together in a safe space.”

The rocker also referenced a recent article in Blunt Magazine pushing back against the “industrial plant” discourse surrounding him, writing that it made him feel vindicated.

The musician concluded his post by thanking his fan community and acknowledging that he needs time to pace his career before moving on to the next chapter.

“To everyone in my beautiful community reading this, I just want to let you know how lucky I feel to have found you,” he wrote. “What an honor it is to spend this life with you.”

The post received messages of support from across the rock and entertainment worlds. Slayer and Exodus guitarist Gary Holt rejected the label “Industrial Plant” in a comment, referring to Yungblud’s performance at a Black Sabbath-related event last year, writing that Industrial Plant “couldn’t do what Back to the Beginning did.”

Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian also praised the performance, writing, “I stood sidestage at BTTB and watched you breathe precious air in the way you uplifted ‘Changes.'” You’ve won everything, Dom.乾杯お兄さん。 ”

SZA sent a short message of support, saying, “I’m rooting for you,” and actors Alyssa Milano and Charisma Carpenter also responded. Milano praised Yungblud for letting his fans into his heart, and Carpenter said that after seeing the post, she wanted to know more about his music.

That moment came after a truly momentous step for Dominic Harrison, who was born an artist. His 2025 double album, Idols, debuted at No. 73 on the Billboard 200, and his collaborative EP with Aerosmith, One More Time, released in November, reached the top 10 of the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on Billboard’s Rock & Alternative Albums chart, making him his first top 10 hit in the US.
