In his speech to the US Congress, Trump welcomed Zelenskyy’s willingness to sign a mineral trade, saying that Zelenskyy had previously declared to him through a letter. Zelenskyy said at the nightly video address he instructed his defense minister and other government officials to clarify information regarding the suspension of military aid to Kiev “as people should not speculate.” Zelenskyy said in X that Ukraine is ready to negotiate as soon as possible, and that peace with Russia is possible if Moscow agrees to certain terms. He proposed the release of prisoners and a ceasefire in the air and sea as the first step towards ending the war.
