Portugal defeated Denmark 5-2 to overturn the 1-0 first parliament deficit and beat Denmark 5-2 after setting the semi-finals with Germany.

Portugal’s Francisco Trincao scored twice from the bench, and Cristiano Ronaldo won the net as he defeated Denmark 5-2 after spending extra time for a 5-3 overall victory that set the Nations League semi-final against Germany.

Ronaldo bouncing off an early penalty to play a key role in the team’s recovery on Sunday, and had to see the extra time off the bench, but he continued to chase the crowd as Portugal finally found a way to end Danish resistance.

The Danes led 1-0 thanks to Rasmus Hozilund’s goal in the first leg in Copenhagen on Thursday, and fullback Joakim Mehle left camp to attend the birth of his child.

Ronaldo stepped up to take the spot kick himself, but Danish keeper Kasper Schmeichel won the battle of nerves and wisely descended to the left to deny the Portuguese captain.

Ronaldo made most of his corrections in the 17th minute, entering the ghost at the far post and leading the ball from Nuno Mendes in goal, but once again Schmeichel made him better.

Portugal eventually took the lead in the evening in the 38th minute. Thanks to his own goal from Danish defender Joachim Andersen, he won the corner Ronaldo into his own net.

That goal was cancelled by a header from his own corner in the 56th minute, with Ronaldo giving the home side again with a finish from a tight angle, but Christian Eriksen returned Denmark to Agregate in the 76th minute.

Trincao then took over and scored in the 86th minute, making it 3-3 in total, and again netted with the 91st best clip finish, putting his side in the driver’s seat.

Denmark defended heroically, but exhausted steam after Trincao’s second goal, and alternative Goncaro Ramos added the coup de Grace to Portugal’s fifth, sending it to the final four.

Portugal’s semi-final opponent, Germany, survived a lively second half battle from Italy, pulling a three-goal lead slip 3-3 at Dortmund on Sunday, reaching the final 5-4 overall.

As a result, this means that not only has Germany secured its first Nations League semi-final spot, but the rest of the tournament will be held in German soil in Stuttgart and Munich in June.

Nations League Holders Spain reached the Final Four after winning a 5-4 penalty against the Netherlands after a thrilling 3-3 quarterfinal draw in the second parliament on Sunday.

Amidst a sudden death, Doniel Maren missed, and Barcelona’s Pedri went home to calm the handshake match where the Netherlands came from behind three times forcing a shootout.

France defeated Croatia 5-4 in a penalty shootout on Sunday, sealing off the final four spot after finishing 2-2 in the quarterfinals.

Rebrus swept the first foot deficit with a 2-0 win at the French stud, clearing the goal at normal times by Michael Oris and Osmane Dembele. Dayot Upamecano converted the winning penalty in the shootout to set the semi-final against Spain in June.
