Xai, the AI company of Elon Musk, is slowly bringing its Grok Chatbot to parity with top rivals such as ChatGpt and Google’s Gemini.

On Wednesday night, Xai announced Grok’s “memory” feature. This allows the bot to remember details from past conversations. Now, when you ask Grok for recommendations, you will receive a more personalized response. Suppose you are using your preferences well enough to “learn”.

ChatGpt has a similar memory feature for a long time and has recently been upgraded to look at the entire user’s chat history. Gemini also has a lasting memory to coordinate replies to individuals.

“Memories are transparent,” reads a post from X’s official Grok account.[Y]You can see exactly what Grok knows and choose what to forget. ”

Grok’s new memory features are available in grok.com and in beta versions of Grok iOS and Android apps, but not for EU or UK users, and can be switched from the Data Control page in the Settings menu and you can remove individual “memory”.

Xai says it is working on bringing memory functionality to X’s Grok Experience.
