State media reports say at least five people have been killed and 19 people have been injured in a massive chemical plant explosion in eastern China.

Two major explosions in a warehouse containing dangerous and flammable chemicals in a port city in Tianjin in 2015 killed more than 170 people and injured 700 people. The incident prompted the government to strengthen laws covering chemical storage.
Another 2015 explosion at Shandong’s chemical plant killed 13 people.
