The privacy-centric browser DuckDuckgo has rolled out a new setting that allows users to filter AI images by search results. The company says it is launching the feature in response to feedback from users who say the AI image can find what it’s looking for.

Users perform a search on Duckduckgo[画像]You can access the new settings by heading to the tab. From there you will see a new dropdown menu titled “AI Images”. Users can then select “show” or “hide” to choose whether to display AI content or not.

Users can also turn on filters in their search settings by tapping on the Hide AI-generated images option.

Duckduckgo’s new feature refers to low-quality media content created using generated AI technology, as the Internet is full of AI “Slops”.

“The filter relies on manually curated open source block lists, including the ‘nuclear’ lists provided by Ublockorigin and UblackList’s huge AI block lists,” Duckduckgo said in an X’s post.

Duckduckgo says he plans to add filters in the future but did not provide details.

It is worth noting that the new feature Duckduckgo example depicts image searches for baby peacocks last year in relation to how Google faces Google to display more AI-generated images of more AI-generated images rather than actual images when doing bird image searches.
