On Wednesday, Humanity announced a new subscription offering that incorporates Claude code into Claude for Enterprise. Previously available only for individual accounts, Anthropic’s command-line coding tools are now available for purchase as part of a broader enterprise suite, allowing for more refined integration and more powerful management tools.
“This is the most requested feature from our business team and our enterprise customers,” Scott White, humanity’s product lead, told TechCrunch.
The integration occupy the human position to compete more appropriately with Google and Github command line tools.
Launched in June, Claude Code quickly became one of the most popular command line programming tools, offering an agent approach over traditional IDE-based tools. Its popularity comes with some pain as individual users of the service suffer from unexpected restrictions on use. The new enterprise offering is partly a response to these issues, allowing businesses to set up granular spending controls that can be expanded for intense use.
Humanity has been particularly bullish about the integration of Claude Code and Claude.ai Chatbot, which has given us more flexibility in the enterprise context. Businesses subscribe to new bundles can develop Claude code prompts alongside Claude Chatbot, or integrate command line tools deeper into internal data sources.
In his research at Claude.ai, White said that enterprise integrations, including customer feedback tools, are particularly transformative, using Claude to summarise the massive amounts of feedback from various sources, and convert everything into concrete product changes.
“It can be magical to blend customer feedback, get the voice of your customers, and help you think about solutions that can prototype and build your own challenges,” White said. “That’s something that was impossible for me even a year ago as a product manager.”
