Apple prepares enterprise AI with new ChatGPT configuration options

As AI technology moves into businesses, Apple is rolling out new tools, giving businesses more control over where and how employees can leverage artificial intelligence. With Apple’s software update released in September, Tech Giant is adding another option to enterprise customers. This is the feature that configures the use of the enterprise version of Openai’s ChatGPT.

Apple has already seen demand for Enterprise’s ChatGpt. Openai says it currently has over 5 million business customers. These companies use AI services to connect to their own internal data when using AI agents.

However, what’s interesting about the way Apple’s integration with ChatGpt for Enterprise is configured is that it is not hardcoded to limit or allow ChatGPT itself only.

Instead, Apple’s support documents show that IT administrators can restrict or allow “external” artificial intelligence providers, as well as Openai’s technology. This makes Apple open the doors to fake the large AI players and other deals used in enterprise environments without re-adjusting things at the protocol level.

As Apple is deploying new AI capabilities aimed at end users of devices, there are also ways IT departments can control access to these capabilities, such as creating visual intelligence.

The company is fully considerate of a private cloud computing architecture, but we know it takes time for businesses to agree to make changes to their sensitive systems and data. So, for example, it’s up to the company to decide whether data needs to be processed in the cloud or in the device.

In addition to allowing AI to choose what features to enable, this setup allows businesses to decide whether employee requests can be moved to ChatGpt’s cloud services. (I remember that CHATGPT is integrated with Apple Intelligence through Apple’s software platform. It handles AI requests that AI-specific clouds cannot do, as requests will not move directly from Apple’s cloud to ChatGpt. Either.

AI updates are the highlight of the company-related updates to be announced in the fall, but Apple is rolling out other new features to its biggest customers.

Start the Apple Business Manager service API. This allows the integration of the features of the service into other IT tools, such as MDM products, inventory management services, and help desks. You can also debut new tools for device management, making it easier for devices to migrate to another management service. This is something that often appears in M&A scenarios when new companies take over employee devices and assets.

Return Solution to Apple’s services offers the option to keep all apps installed, allowing you to quickly wipe and prepare your device for the next user, saving time and bandwidth, as it doesn’t require administrators and users to reinstall. Additionally, returns to services will be available for the first time in Vision Pro.

On a shared Mac, authenticated guest mode allows employees to log in with their identity provider account credentials and clear data (not apps) when they log out. Another option allows businesses to add NFC readers to their Macs, allowing employees to log in by tapping their watch or phone.

These tools will be rolled out in September as part of Apple’s broader software updates for iPhones, iPads, Macs and more.
