President Andreessen Horowitz and Openai’s Greg Brockman are among Silicon Valley veterans who have invested more than $100 million into the Political Action Committee (PAC) network that advocates strict AI regulations in next year’s midterm elections.

The new Pro-AI Superpack network, called “Leading the Future,” aims to use campaign donations and digital advertising to advocate for favorable regulations for AI and oppose candidates the group thinks to curb the industry.

Both Andreessen Horowitz and Openai were part of a push earlier this year to implement a 10-year moratorium on state rights to create their own AI regulations. The ban was ultimately broken, but the AI industry continues to fight against a “regulation patchwork,” which slows innovation and puts the US at risk of losing AI races to China.

The group wants to model Procrypt’s Super Pack Network Fairshake approach to help solidify Donald Trump’s victory. According to the journal, it usually matches the White House AI and Crypto Czar David Sacks policies.
