BTS is 13 years old! And to celebrate, the boy band has launched Festa, an annual lineup of activities to commemorate the anniversary by sharing new family photos.
An Instagram snap released in South Korea on Thursday morning (June 4) shows RM, Jungkook, Jimin, Jin, Suga, J-Hope and V dressed in business casual, lounging together in the sunshine on a lawn. Other photos show the septet goofing around indoors on a couch, or gathered on a staircase, looking down at the camera.
BTS also shared a video documenting how the photo was assembled. In between camera clicks, the members can’t help but shout out each other’s comments.
BTS previously hinted that this photo marks the beginning of this year’s festival, whose schedule was announced on May 31st. Next on the list of activities is the performance video for ARIRANG’s single “Hooligan”, which will be released on Friday (June 5th), followed by other special releases.
Additionally, as part of the 13th anniversary celebrations, a BTS concert is scheduled for June 12th and 13th in Busan, South Korea. The latter will be available for fans to watch live in theaters around the world.
Festa 2026 is especially special given that it marks the one-year anniversary of BTS kicking off their comeback with the release of their Billboard 200-topping album ARIRANG earlier this year and beginning their global tour. In recent years, members have served in the military in South Korea on their anniversary, but Jin found a way to make 2024 special anyway, hugging 1,000 fans at an in-person Festa event.
