Aubrey Plaza swapped her Chanel beach capsule for maternity black tie at the 79th Tony Awards on Sunday, arriving at Radio City Music Hall with her partner Christopher Abbott, who is nominated for the role of Biff Loman in Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman.

For the Broadway night, Plaza chose a long black and white dress from Chanel’s Coco Beach 2026 collection. This is a piece rooted in summer dressing rather than traditional evening wear. This choice made her latest pregnancy-era look lighter for formal wear.
The black knit style featured thin white stripes and a deep V neckline. Beachwear references appear in the white triangular bust panel and thin straps fastened with small metal adjusters at the shoulders. The knit has a sheer feel over the lower body, and the ankle-length silhouette is lighter than a traditional black tie gown.

Styled by Jessica Pastor, Plaza kept the rest of her look subdued. Leanne White styled her dark hair in loose waves, while Fulvia Farolfi gave the look a soft pink lip and defined eyes, while small drop earrings, a fine necklace, a ring, and red nails completed the graphic black-and-white look.

Plaza’s latest maternity dressing remains relatively understated. In April, she showed off a cleaner, late-night version of her pregnancy look with an empire waist, sheer tights, and gold jewelry for an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers in a black Camilla and Mark minidress with Betsey Johnson pumps, an empire waist, sheer tights, and gold jewelry, after her rep confirmed earlier that month that she and Abbott were expecting their first child.
