It’s official: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are married. Tree Payne, Swift’s longtime publicist, confirmed that the event took place on July 3, but provided few details about the big day, including who hosted the event and which designers the bride and groom used for their wedding day looks. But social media has given us plenty of clues about who was in attendance at the star-studded event, what they ate, and why the pair chose the massive Madison Square Garden Arena as their venue. Here’s everything you need to know.

The power couple tied the knot at Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 3rd, with none other than comedian Adam Sandler officiating the ceremony. The couple did not have a formal wedding party, choosing instead to have Swift’s older brother, Austin Swift, as the honorary, and Kelce’s older brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason, as his maid of honor. Swift’s spokesperson said the bride and groom’s looks were created by Christian Dior, led by creative director Jonathan Anderson, and were accessorized with Cartier jewelry and Christian Louboutin shoes, but no official photos have been released.

In the days leading up to the big event, fans and spectators questioned the couple’s choice of venue, even claiming that the Madison Square Garden setup was a smokescreen designed to distract from another, perhaps more private wedding location. Although the wedding ended up being held at the arena, some still wondered, “Why Madison Square Garden?”
Celebrity wedding planner Michelle Lago said in an interview with the Globe: “The arena is where we’ve both spent our careers, and I think it’s probably a place where we both feel very comfortable.” Her New York-based company, Michelle Lago Destinations, was appointed to perform the wedding of Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz in Palm Beach, Florida.
“It was a smart choice from a security standpoint as well. When you go inside MSG, it’s basically like a spaceship. Plus, it’s a huge arena with tons of floor space, incredible acoustics and engineering, and lots of special hidden areas that aren’t accessible to the general public.”
“If you wanted to, you could build a Central Park there. There are no restrictions.”
No photos have yet been released showing exactly how the 19,500-seat venue with 150-foot-high ceilings was transformed into a wedding-worthy space. But images of delivery trucks unloading supplies including curtains, mirror balls, lights, greenery and foliage all lend credence to the idea that the wedding was garden party themed to match the couple’s proposal setting (and perhaps it’s no coincidence that it ties in with the name of the venue itself).

The event officially began with a wedding ceremony on July 3 at 5:30 p.m., followed by a reception and other festivities, and ahead of the event, a number of celebrities descended on the Big Apple. (According to the New York Times, a rehearsal dinner took place the day before at MSG’s Infosys Theater.) In attendance were about 1,000 friends and colleagues of the pop star and football player, including singers Ed Sheeran, Selena Gomez, Sombre, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Jennifer Lopez, Benson Boone and Camila Cabello.

Actors Reese Witherspoon, Dakota Johnson, Hugh Grant, Ethan Hawke, Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, Zoe Kravitz (sans Harry Styles), Bradley Cooper, and models Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss were also in attendance. National Football League players such as Kareem Hunt, Cooper Kupp, Patrick Mahomes and their wives Brittany from teams like the New York Giants, Seattle Seahawks, and of course the Kansas City Chiefs were also in attendance.

Hockey legend Wayne Gretzky and Calgary-born singer-songwriter Tate McRae also attended the wedding, and several Canadians were also on the guest list.
What was on the wedding menu?
Everything from lobster to Krispy Kreme donuts was said to have been consumed inside the MSG during the wedding, but no official menu has been confirmed. Given the venue, Lago said “well-prepared comfort food” would be appropriate. “Apparently we both love street food and a good drive-thru, so it might have been a black tie dinner with southern fried chicken, pan-fried gravy, and the best champagne. Something like that.”
Was there any musical performance?

Guests reported that music legend Stevie Nicks gave a special performance during the wedding. Swift and the Knicks have a special history. The two performed together at the 2010 Grammy Awards (singing “You Belong With Me” and “Rhiannon”), and Nicks even wrote a poem that appeared on the vinyl version of Swift’s album The Tortured Poets Department. Paul McCartney is also rumored to have appeared.
What did Taylor Swift’s dress look like?
No official photos of the bride’s Dior dress have surfaced yet, but it’s possible she wore multiple bridal looks throughout the day. “Most brides have three or four looks, including an outfit to wear during the day for hair and makeup, a gown, perhaps a second look during the reception, and a final late-night dress,” Lago said.
Did you have any wedding favors for your guests?
After the event, images began circulating of guests carrying dark rectangular boxes with the letters “TT” monogrammed on the front tucked inside a heart emblem, but there have been no confirmed reports of what exactly was inside. Just a guess? A handkerchief with a similar design. Singer Patrick Deloney posted an image of white lace fabric embroidered with the wedding’s logo, along with the wedding date, location and lyrics from Swift’s song “Blank Space.”
Do you have any images inside the venue?
Some attendees have posted photos of themselves on the Met Gala-style carpeted staircase, but there are few details about how MSG was transformed for the ceremony and reception.
That could be due to the no-phone policy said to be in place for all wedding guests. “People hate being away from their devices, but when a no-phone policy is implemented effectively, that changes and people start paying attention in a different way,” said Lago, who has implemented similar privacy policies at past events.
