Leave it to the leading ladies of ‘The Odyssey’ to push the boundaries of red carpet beauty.
Outside the London world premiere of Christopher Nolan’s new film, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Mia Goth and more sported a variety of on-trend hair and makeup looks, from mermaid waves to bleached eyebrows, blush and red lips. WWD takes a closer look at the best beauty looks from the star-studded red carpet so far.
zendaya

Zendaya attended the world premiere of Universal Pictures’ “Odyssey” held in London on July 6th.
Wearing a sculpted Schiaparelli haute couture dress, which we might add is straight off the runway, Zendaya swapped her vixie cut for a Greek goddess-inspired hairstyle and ethereal glamour. The hair, created by Coree Moreno, featured a braided crown and free-flowing mermaid extensions with melting chocolate and honey blonde highlights. Her makeup, by Ernesto Casillas, found a middle ground between the perfect 2000s-inspired beat and modern skin with bluish lids, bright under-eyes, clumps of lashes, and an even-toned base. The elevated look was achieved using an arsenal of Charlotte Tilbury products.

Zendaya attended the “Odyssey” photocall held at the IET Building’s Savoy Place on July 5th.
Earlier this weekend, Zendaya went for the opposite aesthetic. Here, her long, wild waves slid tightly behind her head, hidden under a white hood. Her makeup, on the other hand, resembled a sandy-eyed desert angel with lots of blush and bronzer. For the lips, Casillas used Hun Vango Beauty to create a glossy gradient look.

Hathaway contrasted her periwinkle chiffon dress with a bold red lip by makeup artist Hun Vango. Vanngo used both a New York Red Accent Longwear Lip Liner and a Creamy Matte Longwear Lipstick in the same shade. Additionally, I used Color Story Eyeshadow Palette in New Neutrals, Longwear Waterproof Precision Gel Eyeliner in Keep It Effortless, Tan Sculpt Bronze Contour Balm in Intentional, and Very Beautiful Matte Velvet Blush in Second Language. Her statement and glamor went well with a voluminous blowout by Orlando Pita.

Theron tamed her freshly cut bob with the help of hairstylists Adir Abergel and Aidan Darcy. Here, the left side of her multidimensional coloring was smoothed into the micro bun on the top of her head, while the right side was gelled and left to frame her face. The glamor Kate Leigh imagined for her was minimal in comparison, consisting of cloudy lips, rosy eyes, and a cool-toned contour.
Lupita Nyong’o

Lupita Nyong’o attended the world premiere of ‘The Odyssey’ held at Odeon Lux Leicester Square on July 6th.
Makeup artist Nick Burrows drew inspiration from Theda Barra to give Lupita Nyong’o what he described as “vampy black cherry lips” and “candlelit skin” for Monday’s world premiere. Using products from Lisa Eldridge, Burrows also created “metallic pewter eye cheeks,” and hair artist Vernon Francois sculpted the texture on the top of Nyong’o’s head.
mia goth

Mia Goth attended the world premiere of Universal Pictures’ “The Odyssey.”
Goth maintained the integrity of her signature aesthetic at the world premiere, pairing bleached brows with pouty lips, neutral eyelids, and shimmering cheekbones. The no-makeup look was brought to life by Nina Park, and her soft curls were styled by celebrity hair architect Christian Wood.
