Meghan Markle gushes over Prince Harry in 42nd birthday tribute amid tumultuous UK return

Meghan Markle publicly wished Prince Harry a happy 42nd birthday just weeks after their move back to England.

“He’s simply the best,” the Duchess of Sussex captioned an Instagram Reel on Tuesday, set to a song of the same name by The Hound + The Fox.

“Happy birthday, my love ❤️,” the “Suits” alum, 45, continued.

The social media upload kicked off with a black-and-white photo of Harry gazing into the distance while wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap, followed by a sweet shot skiing with daughter Princess Lilibet.

The 5-year-old — and her brother, Prince Archie, 7 — appeared elsewhere in the slideshow, from an ATV ride with Harry to a family meal.

Other moments captured included an archery session and a bike ride, as well as a rare PDA pic of Harry and Markle kissing.

Markle also posted a brief video to her Instagram Story of a car ride with her spouse, during which he made a silly face.

Harry’s birthday comes one month after the actress celebrated her own by jumping into a pool with a bunch of balloons.

At the time, the couple lived in a Montecito, California, mansion with their little ones.

In late August, news broke that the foursome were relocating across the pond, returning to Harry’s homeland six years after their bombshell departure.

They touched down in England on Aug. 26 and have been making headlines ever since.

King Charles III set tongues wagging when he released a statement confirming his son and daughter-in-law’s non-working royals status — which the pair reportedly took issue with as they consider themselves “public figures,” not “private citizens.”

While the monarch’s announcement led Uganda to pull out of Harry’s Invictus Games to avoid being “construed as being opposed” to Charles, the 77-year-old ultimately intervened and the country will now participate as planned.

Meanwhile, Harry and Markle picked a ritzy $35K-a-year prep school for their kids, only to pull them out two days in over security concerns caused by heavy traffic in the area.

“None of these logistical problems are a surprise,” royal expert Kinsey Schofield exclusively told Page Six on Monday. “When I was speaking to people locally about the original school, one of the first things I was warned about was the horrific traffic.”

The duo, who are reportedly house hunting in the Cotswolds, have been granted a government-backed security review that is underway, according to The Telegraph.

Markle, however, has continued to document their family’s lives via social media, most recently sharing an intimate highlight reel of their time in England on Instagram.
