‘Artificial’ star Ike Barinholtz jokes about ‘douchey’ tech titans

Ike Barinholtz isn’t too fond of tech titans.

When Page Six asked “The Studio” star, who was at the NYFF64 premiere of “Artificial,” “from one to 10, how douchey do you think these (tech) guys are?” he laughed and replied, “Oh God, a million? I don’t know.”

“I say that as a douche,” he diplomatically added, before amending his estimate.

“Somewhere in between, maybe,” he opined.

Barinholtz, 49, plays controversial businessman Elon Musk in “Artificial.” It also stars Andrew Garfield as OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and follows his controversial firing and rehiring in 2023. The cast also includes Jason Schwartzman, Yura Borisov, Cooper Hoffman, and Billie Lourd.

“The Mindy Project” alum shared that, like a lot of people, he is terrified of AI.

“I try to be an optimist and I will continue to be until I’m proven wrong,” he said, “but I am nervous about it very much. [I’m] worried about people’s jobs. People need to have a reason to live, and work, and do things, and I just want to make sure we’re not celebrating that too much.”

Page Six Hollywood exclusively reported that Amazon MGM is aiming to release the Luca Guadagnino-helmed flick in early 2027 because it didn’t want to conflict with “The Social Reckoning.”

The sequel to “The Social Network” stars Jeremy Strong as Mark Zuckerberg and dramatizes the 2021 Facebook leak by the whistleblower Frances Haugen and Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz.

A source told Page Six Hollywood that Altman’s “Artificial” character “apparently doesn’t come off as particularly sympathetic. Nor does Musk.”

Adding to the awkwardness, Altman and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos are pals.
