The New York Brad Center (NYBC), one of the largest non -profit organization in the United States, has been confusing services after being attacked by ransomware.

NYBC stated in a statement on Wednesday that the organization had detected suspicious activities on the IT system on January 26, but it was confirmed that it was a ransnware attack.

“We have taken measures immediately to reduce threats, such as turning specific systems offline,” NYBC stated in a statement.

NYBC warns more than 200 hospitals in the northeast of the United States, and warn over 500 hospitals nationwide warning that blood transfusion -related medical services have caused operational confusion. Non -profit organizations needed to re -schedule the donation center activities and blood driving, and the processing time of blood donation could “be longer than usual.”

The organization stated that it is working to restore the system as quickly and quickly, but said, “There is no specific schedule at this time to restore the system.”

This is as declared that NYBC has confirmed that the organization last week that the donation that “the blood supply in the area was inconvenient” had decreased by 30 % and then the blood emergency. NYBC stated in a press release at the time that all blood type donations were urgently needed, and there were “dangerous and lowly low” supply.

“We understand the important nature of the service, and the community’s health is still our top priority.” “We continue to communicate directly with the hospital partner, and we are implementing a workaround to support the restoration of the service and the fulfillment of orders.”

I don’t know who was behind the cyber attack, and the major ransomware group for invading has not yet been claimed. It is unknown whether the attack was accessed as a result of the attack or whether NYBC received the demand for ransom. NYBC did not respond immediately to TechCrunch questions.
