Anti-aging fanatic Brian Johnson wants to start a “food sequence”

Just as genomic sequencing determines the genetic makeup of an organism, Brian Johnson (an investor and founder behind Do not Die Movement) wants to begin a “Foodome” sequence.

“We sequence US ‘Foodome’. This means testing 20% of foods that make up 80% of American diets based on what you eat every day,” Johnson said Thursday at the SXSW Festival in Austin.

Johnson is the founder and former CEO of Kernel, the founder of Brain Monitoring Device Company, OS fund, and the founder and former CEO of e-commerce company Braintree.

Today, he is obsessed with finding ways to broaden his life expectancy and preach the gospel to others. He took extreme measures, including transfusions of blood with my 17-year-old son’s blood and receiving shock therapy treatment to increase nighttime erections.

Most of his tips on habits that expand your life are easy enough to guess. Spend time with the community. exercise. Healthy food. But Johnson says it’s not as easy to eat as healthy as you think.

“I want to be authentic with you. It’s very difficult to buy clean food,” he said. Most foods in grocery stores said that even organic brands can have toxins from a variety of treatment methods.

His goal is to test as many foods as possible and create a public database where people can donate money to test specific foods and brands for toxins such as heavy metals and microplastics. He said the outcome hopes to hold the brand accountable for unsafe food practices.

The idea received applause from a packed audience at SXSW. SXSW was enthusiastic about Johnson’s various breathing exercises, prompted urges to move around, and longevity experiments that balance one leg and eyes closed. (I’m now 30 seconds – not a big deal.)

Johnson faces a lot of hatred online due to his quirky philosophy that with the advent of AI, we may be the first generation that we don’t need to die.

“We are giving birth to super intelligence. Johnson added that existing ideology doesn’t explain how to handle AI and now that AI is in the picture, we are no longer guaranteed survival for our species.

“Humanity would be wise to reuse its purpose. [around AI and] I’m away from the money I can’t die. ”

In other words, why not discuss AI’s integrity with humanity and align it with its mission to sustain human life? Why would he use AI to harness millions of “human-level geniuses” to track human progress and address the biggest challenges of aging?

It’s a provocative question, a question that has attracted criticism from skeptics who argue that dying is an integral part of being human.

Longevity scientist Dr Andrew Steele admits that it helps you eat well and exercise, but he acknowledges that genetics, rather than extreme measures, plays a greater role in determining life expectancy.

But that perspective does not stop Johnson from promoting his “blueprint protocol.” It’s the formula for his lifestyle to keep him up to what he says is the world’s best biomarker. He also sells his own supplements and foods. His brand of olive oil is ironically or appropriately named Snake Oil.
