Apple CEO’s Tim Cook states that Deepseek’s AI model represents “efficiency” during the revenue call on Thursday, in partnership with questions from analysts on the iPhone manufacturer AI’s ambitions. Ta.

“In general, I think the innovation that promotes efficiency is good, and you know, that’s what you see in that model,” says Cook, Deepseek’s AI model is Apple’s margin. I answered the analyst questions about how it affected.

Cook pays attention to Apple using AI hybrid models. This model uses a unique AI model with a custom silicon chip of the device to execute several simple tasks. On the other hand, other complex tasks are executed in the cloud through partnerships with the AI model provider.

Cook also stated that Apple has always taken an “wise and intentional” approach to these types of spending.

Apple currently has only one AI partnership. Openai can answer complex questions from private cloud iPhone users.

Openai claimed this week that the AI model was used to train DeepSeek’s AI model through a process called distillation. If it is true, it will violate Openai’s use policy and damage DeepSeek’s performance.

It did not stop the Apple CEO from throwing a compliment to Deepseek.

Apple indicates that OpenAi partnerships are not exclusive and may integrate AI models of other companies, such as Google’s Gemini and Anthropic’s Claude, to the iPhone in the future. However, Cook did not suggest that Apple would integrate DeepSeek models.

Beyond Openai’s plot of IP theft, some high -tech annalists suggest that DeepSeek’s AI models are training at much more GPU and calculation costs than the company claims. That means that the AI model of DeepSeek was not trained so efficiently that it was suspected. Nevertheless, China’s AI lab sells access to the model at a sudden discount compared to what the American AI lab claims.

Investors also asked the Cook about the success of Apple Intelligence.

The step -in -stage release of Apple’s AI function does not seem to immediately boost the sales of the iPhone predicted by some people. Instead, sales decreased slightly in the previous quarter compared to last year.

Cooks argued that they had seen more strong sales in areas where Apple Intelligence was deployed than the non -areas that Apple Intelligency was more favorable.

Apple faces other issues related to AI functions and exceeds the lack of availability. Recently, after the functions of the features have led to misleading headlines, the AI summary of this month’s news article has been suspended. In one case, Apple Intelligence incorrectly made a hallucinations in the BBC news and changed, and incorrectly that Luigimangjou, a man who was charged with the murder of Briandpean Brian Poonson, a CEO of United Healthcare, shot himself. I read it.
