Authmind raises $19.3 million to protect enterprise identity across AI, cloud and hybrid infrastructure

As more businesses migrated to hybrid and multi-cloud setups, tracking IDACCES has quietly become one of the biggest security headaches. The rise of AI systems with increased Shadow It, Machine-to-Machine workloads, and increased autonomy simply adds fuel to the fire. On the other hand, attackers become smarter, blending in with normal user activity, and blending in with degradation tactics and identity imitation.

Security tools built 10 years ago were not built for this. And that shows.

Enter Authmind for Bethesda, a tech startup in Maryland. This allows real-time identity observation to combat AI fuel attacks and modern security blind spots. The company aims to help businesses and businesses monitor and protect human or machine identity activities. With what is called “identity observability,” Authmind claims that it can detect suspicious behavior faster and give security teams enough context to act before something breaks.

Investors seem to be convinced. The company has announced a $19.3 million seed round led by Cheyenne Ventures. The round offers support from Black Opal Ventures, K2 Access Fund, The Jefferies Family Office, Silver Buckshot Ventures, Blu Venture Investors, Returning Buckers Ballistic Ventures and IBM.

Authmind said the new funds will be directed towards expanding operations into the market and refinement of product suites. The company promises to be able to deploy the platform across the enterprise in minutes, providing visibility to security teams without adding setup friction.

“As businesses deal with increasingly fragmented environments, identity protection has become a major challenge,” said Gregory Eaton, founder and managing director of Cheyenne Ventures. “Authmind is tackling this challenge head-on with a new approach to identity protection through the observability of comprehensive identity, providing organizations with context, clarity and control to protect their environment. We are excited to support Authmind as he guides in the transformation of identity protection.”

CEO Shlomi Yanai reflects that sentiment. “Authmind is redefine identity protection by providing continuous, context-driven observability, attitude management, and threat detection for all identities and their access paths through multi-cloud, SaaS, and on-premises environments.”

According to the company, some of the world’s largest financial and insurance companies already use the platform. Authmind was recently appointed as the Gartner Cool vendor of ID First Security and is running R&D operations in Pune, India.

The startup pitch is simple. The security team does not need any further alerts. It needs to be clear. And with AI and cloud services growing only on the enterprise stack, identity protection is no longer just about people.

It’s about everything you have access to.
