Beyoncé has no problem paying her bills. This year, the superstar joined Forbes magazine’s annual tally of the richest self-made women, adding her name to a list that also includes Taylor Swift and Rihanna.
The magazine announced Thursday (June 4) that Queen Bey won the slot for the first time, estimating her net worth at $1 billion. This comes months after Forbes magazine declared her a billionaire in December.
“Pop star Beyoncé Knowles’ net worth comes largely from her nearly 30 years as a solo performer and member of the girl group Destiny’s Child,” Forbes wrote. “[She] Her 2025 Cowboy Carter Tour joins the ranks after becoming a smash hit, earning more than $450 million in ticket and merchandise sales. ”
Beyoncé, ranked 39th on the list, is tied with Rihanna, who is also worth an estimated $1 billion. Both have an estimated net worth of $2 billion, with a difference of 16 slots. Other celebrities on the ranking include Oprah Winfrey and Kim Kardashian.
“This year’s rankings reflect a major shift in where wealth is created,” Forbes Editor-in-Chief Louisa Kroll said in a statement. “Women are building multibillion-dollar businesses, especially in the fastest-changing sectors of the economy, including artificial intelligence, software, and consumer platforms, while also turning personal brands into powerful business empires.”
It is also worth noting that Beyoncé’s husband Jay-Z is also a billionaire thanks to his music, various business ventures, and his success as head of Roc Nation. The self-made woman’s news comes as fans increasingly await the release of the Destiny’s Child alum’s long-awaited “Act III” album, which concludes the series started by Billboard 200-topper Renaissance and Cowboy Carter.
