Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, brings fan creativity to the racetrack. Crypto Giant has unveiled a new racing helmet for F1 driver Pierre Gasly. It adds an interactive twist that blends fan-designed look with art, technology and community spirit.
The design, born from a global contest hosted by Binance, was created by Fantiagobara in Brazil. It combines Australia’s iconic green and gold with national symbols like kangaroos and emu with nods to the heritage of the racing circuit. The helmet is not just Guthrie’s headgear collection. It is also the heart of Melbourne’s large murals, bringing it to life by highly acclaimed street artist Matt Adonite.
But this is not just another mural. Integrates an immersive augmented reality (AR) experience to enable fans around the world to interact with helmet design. Scanning the QR code will transform the mural into an engaging digital experience, allowing fans to explore the artwork and track the race circuit. It is an innovative way to realize art and bridge the physical and digital worlds.
Guthrie isn’t just racing in a helmet. He races for a cause. After the event, the helmets will be auctioned and the proceeds will support Crow Youth Boxing, a local Australian charity dedicated to empowering First Nations youth.
“The mural brings the design of victory helmets to life in a bold and dynamic way,” Guthrie said. “This contest showed the passion and creativity of fans around the world. It’s incredible to see their vision come to life. Binance keeps fans closer to the sport and can’t wait to get back on Melbourne’s track to wear this design.”
For Tiago Barra, it’s surreal to see his concept go up center stage. “I still can’t believe I won the contest. It’s an amazing feeling! I’m extremely excited to see the helmet working for the Melbourne season opener,” Bala shared. His design also reflects Binance’s distinctive colours and Pierre’s lace 10, blending personal touch and symbols of resilience and speed.
The initiative is based on the momentum of last year’s campaign, but features an upgraded experience combining physical art and digital interaction. Sarah Dale, Head of Global Partnerships at Binance, is focusing on the strong connections between the Crypto and motorsport communities. “This year, the Victory Design will bring fans closer to action, bringing them to life through impressive murals and immersive AR experiences. We are excited to continue pushing boundaries and delivering unique and engaging experiences around the world.”
With over 500 entries from 75 countries, the contest highlights how global fandom promotes creativity and encourages community engagement.
This initiative is more than art and lace. This is a snapshot of how digital experiences shape sports, culture and connections with each other.
