Brad Pitt’s new movie ‘Heart of the Beast’ has secret Santa Barbara screening, ‘not a dry eye in the house’

Brad Pitt‘s next movie, “Heart of the Beast,” had a VIP sneak screening in Santa Barbara, we hear, on Wednesday night before the film premieres in Nashville, Tenn.

Page Six Hollywood exclusively reported that Pitt chose to debut the Paramount Skydance film far from Hollywood — at Tennessee’s FirstBank Amphitheater on Sept. 16.

Spies said the film was shown to an intimate crowd in advance at the SBIFF Riviera Theatre, where guests included Josh Brolin and Zoe Saldaña.

“There was not a dry eye in the house,” said an attendee of the film starring Pitt as a Special Forces officer stranded deep in the Alaskan wilderness with his combat dog after a plane crash. The movie is directed by David Ayer, who directed Pitt previously in the WWII action epic “Fury.”

Ayer appeared on stage at the Santa Barbara screening with screenwriter Cameron Alexander, producer Richard Raymond and top animal trainer Andrew Simpson — whose credits include “John Wick,” “Game of Thrones” and “The Revenant,” and who worked with a rescue dog as Pitt’s canine costar. 

The film has been tracking well in the middle of the country.
