Chinese woman sued Tesla after complaining of a defective brake – now she pays Tesla $23k

According to an investigation by the Associated Press (AP), Tesla won a honour-loss lawsuit against one individual called Zhang Yazhou. Zhang Yazhou was a passenger in a Tesla Model 3 car in February 2021, allegedly crashed due to a defective brake, four people crashed – hospitalized for both parents I will.

After the accident, Chang publicly protested and ultimately sued the car manufacturer for defamation, but Tesla sued her for defamation. A Chinese court has now ordered Zhang to make a public apology, paying about $23,000 in damages.

Zhang continues to appeal to the outcome, but Tesla has finally released telemetry data from her car due to increased pressure.

The report alleges that Tesla has “at least” sued the owners of “at least” six cars in China over the past four years as they complained about mechanical issues with the car.

Separately, the AP reviewed court applications from the Chinese government database and of 81 civil judgments in which Tesla owners sued the company over various safety, quality or contract disputes, the car owners said: He said he found that he had won nine of the cases. Additionally, the report said Tesla sued “at least six bloggers and two Chinese media outlets.”
