Constellation Network, a distributed infrastructure company tested by the US Department of Defense, today announced the launch of Digital Evidence, a tamper prevention compliance product designed specifically for law enforcement and emergency services.
After a six-year contract with DOD, building the Iron SPIDR project and demonstrating the value of ensuring provable critical mission communication, Constellation announces the commercialization of a blockchain infrastructure called digital evidence for commercial procurement.
In the public sector alone, over $3.6 billion is spent advocacy in cases of compliance. Digital evidence uses blockchain technology to create and protect critical data, ensuring complete end-to-end trust and integrity for legal and compliance purposes. Organizations can save time gathering evidence for legal, compliance, or management by safely and inappropriately storing data for automated evidence reporting.
Digital evidence creates a constant record that can be presented to courts as acceptable evidence through reporting and other intelligence, whilst seamlessly collecting data from police vehicles, fire engines, EMS vehicles and on-board systems. Through its partnership between Panasonic and Toughbook, announced in October 2024, Constellation will consider quickly deploying digital evidence to customers where technology is already deployed.
Digital evidence is intended to be used in several early use pilot cases such as Panasonic Toughbook, AI Datasets, and DOR technology, including retail analytics, operational workflows (i.e. intellectual property protection, system performance, operational cost-effectiveness, efficiency reporting).
Aidan Clifford, director market solutions team at Panasonic Toughbook, said:
“There is a great sense of urgency to be more transparent across technology, organizations and institutions, both from the private and public sectors,” said Benjorgensen, CEO of Constellation. “Through digital evidence, blockchain technology can be easily integrated into the public interest and used. Digital evidence is a product (for many people) that accurately reduces the burden of reporting while quickly solving compliance issues.”
The output of organizations using digital evidence will be a “smart checkmark” certification for the technology, incorporating consumer trust in data collection and auditing practices. Looking ahead, Constellation is developing integration between digital evidence and existing databases, business intelligence tools, indexing solutions and artificial intelligence platforms.
