Cybercore (CEVER BV) reports the business results of cybersecurity teams leveraging automation at Genai.
“Cyver Core provided users with generated AI products in 2024. Since then, significant results have been gained on time savings, particularly across the enterprise team. “Reporting obligations are significantly reduced, allowing skilled workers in value-added tasks to free up the skilled workforce and reduce the need for additional employment within excessive fueling teams,” said Luis Abreu, CEO of Cyver Core.
Cybersecurity teams are under more time pressure than ever before
Today, the World Economic Forum suggests a global shortage of around 4 million cybersecurity experts. 67% of organizations report medium to critical skills gaps in cybersecurity. New threats like AI-driven attacks and options to generate malware average attacks have increased by seven times, resulting in cybersecurity teams growing. Attacks on open source supply chains have also increased by up to 700% over the past three years.
This has been further expanded due to recent changes, particularly in the European Union’s NIS2 and Cyber Resilience Act, the US National Cybersecurity Strategy, and even the Singapore Operations Technology Cybersecurity Master Plan. These regulations increase the burden of cybersecurity testing within an organization, particularly critical infrastructure, and shift personal responsibility for cybersecurity leads.
A lot of what cybersecurity teams spend time on is not cybersecurity
Despite the lack of skilled labor, many cybersecurity teams still invest a significant amount of time in overhead work. One study showed that 20-60% of pentest project time was spent reporting. Cybersecurity experts spend an average of 2-14 hours per cybersecurity assessment reporting. With red teaming and threat-driven pentation, these timelines could increase by more than 35%.
Many of these reports are over 100 pages and need to be further split as a second step to allow for repairs and fixes. Within an organization, cybersecurity teams spend more than 20% of their time manually managing their findings.
Reduce the time spent overhead and report it on genai
Cyver Core’s generation AI solution reduces its time spend by 85%. If a team without a cybercore report spends 50-70% of the reporting time on copy-paste, teams using cybercore reduce it to just 16-20%. Generating Cyver Core for Pentest Reports AI products can write custom descriptions, repair information, and generate drafts from information lists. Using it, cybersecurity experts report that the time to write unique content is between 20-70% and 20% of reporting time. Additionally, the total time per report drops from 4-14 hours to 2-5 hours, saving 50% even the most complex reporting projects.
These time savings are consistent with over 50 early adopters, including multiple enterprise teams, including Fortune 100. All across the group, users saw an average 50% reduction to reporting, with 79% of their cybersecurity team saying they could complete more projects.
