A groundbreaking 400 Saw survey in 2024 confirms Verility Inc.’s Fertile-Eyez™ technology uses less resources and labor while providing pregnancy and embryo rates comparable to traditional breeding methods.

By leveraging AI to identify the optimal insemination window, this cutting-edge diagnostic tool helps pig producers reduce costs, increase conception rates, and accelerate genetic progression throughout the herd.

As the demand for precision livestock technology grows, fertile AIDS is setting new standards for reproductive performance.

Smarter breeding with less insemination

Traditional breeding protocols often rely on two inseminations per SOW to ensure success. However, fertile ice cream achieves the same reproduction results, with an average insemination of 1.15 per SOW.

This efficiency not only streamlines the breeding process, but also offers a significant cost benefit to producers.

Fertile Eyes has an overall concept rate of 91%, demonstrating that technology can boost natural biological rhythms without relying on hormones.

In particular, the system is excellent at identifying ovulation windows in sows that do not show standing fever, leading to a pregnancy rate of 38% in animals that would otherwise be considered counterproductive.

Improve efficiency and reduce costs

This study revealed the important benefits of integrating fertile ice into the SOW insemination protocol.

A 40% less semen dosage should be reduced by 20% on the day of boar exposure and 45% in boar fever test

These improvements not only reduce operational complexity, but also allow producers to allocate more strategically the semen of high-index boars.

By using lower doses, farms can invest in genetically superior boars and accelerate their flock improvement without increasing insemination costs.

ROI: 1.6x boost for pig producers

For pig breeders, the bottom line is convincing. Fertile-Eyez Protocol offers a return on investment of 1.6 thanks to reduced labor, reduced inputs and improved breeding accuracy.

Unlike hormone-based ovulation interventions, this data-driven approach works in harmony with animal biology and provides producers with a reliable, technically-compatible alternative to legacy methods.

Supported by science and funding for the future

SOW’s leap to insemination efficiency has attracted attention from investors. Verility recently secured the final tranche of a $4 million funding round led by Mountain Group Partners, expanding fertile eyes and expanding commercialization.

With field trials and customer pilots planned by 2025 and 2026, Verility is poised to redefine fertility management in pig production.

The company’s technology was born at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, an education affiliate of Harvard Medical School, and has since been tested in multiple species.

Verility holds a portfolio of patents throughout the US, Canada, Europe and Australia, ensuring long-term market protection.

The future of Sow insemination

Fertile-Eyez is more than just a diagnosis. This represents a digital transformation in livestock breeding.

By using AI-powered smartphone compatible tools for semen analysis and ovulation detection, the platform provides precision breeding to large producers.
