Google has created the Gemini 2.5 Pro, the most advanced AI model that can be used for free via Gemini Canvas on the web and mobile. The new Vibe Coding feature allows anyone to create apps, games and tools using simple prompts. No coding is required.

Released on March 29, 2025, the Gemini 2.5 Pro was previously locked behind a $19.99 subscription. Now users have access to core features such as Canvas, a Million Tokens Context Window, Advanced Inference and more. There are all usage restrictions.

“Now, anyone can code + create with Gemini 2.5 Pro using canvas at @geminiapp. The most advanced model + SOTA across many benchmarks. Try it out!” Google CEO Sundar Pichai posted on X.

Now anyone can code + create in Gemini 2.5 Pro using canvas with @geminiapp. Please give it a try!

Vibe coding

This release sparked debate over the possibility of making coding more accessible. Vibe Coding lowers the barriers for non-technical users by converting natural language into working software. Developers use it to speed up repetitive tasks. Non-coders use it to build things that they couldn’t do before. The interface is fast, simple and surprisingly effective, but not without the occasional hiccups.

Users praise their inference and coding capabilities, especially how they handle large contexts. There is ongoing work to improve “thinking” and expand reach on more platforms. Not perfect, but a notable upgrade from previous versions.

The free version includes vibe coding and canvas, and features premium features such as unlimited file uploads behind the paywall. But the core experience is completely open.

Gemini 2.5 Pro Canvas is now live. Whether you’re building your first app or testing water, you don’t need a coding degree.
