Google is doubling artificial intelligence with new initiatives to support early-stage startups. Tech Giant announced the “AI Futures Fund,” an AI Futures Fund, an AI Fund that invests in startup investments.
As part of the new program, Google will provide Tech Startups with a combination of funding, early access to Google’s AI models, and direct support from its research and engineering teams. Founders selected for the program will also receive Google Cloud Credits.
“Select Startups will expand AI development with the opportunity to seek direct investment from Google in fuel growth,” the company said in a blog post.

“Today, we are investing and collaborating in ambitious startups by implementing the AI Futures Fund. The program will accelerate progress by quickly accessing startups at various stages of growth with Google Deepmind’s latest AI models, resources, technical expertise and equity funds,” Google said in a blog post.
According to Google, eligible startups for the AI Futures Fund will receive Google investments, early access to AI models and hands-on support from Google employees. Startups interested in this program can apply here.
The move shows Google’s intention to approach emerging players in the AI space. It’s loose, especially when promising startups are looking for an open market replacement.
“The AI Futures Fund is an initiative to work with and support Google’s founders building next-generation AI products with Gemini models. At every stage, we work closely with ambitious startups to quickly enable groundbreaking 0-to-one products and features, providing potential job searches to deliver Google’s advanced AI models, expertise and potential AI ideas.
This is not Google’s first foray into AI startup backing. Earlier this year, more than $1 billion invested more than $1 billion in AI companies that had already acquired $2 billion and 10% ownership. The relationship also includes major cloud agreements.
Other tech giants follow the same playbook. While Microsoft is closely aligned with Openai, Amazon has invested heavily in its own AI tools and partners.
The AI Futures Fund offers access to the Startups Gemini model and the opportunity to build directly Google’s infrastructure and expertise.
“We will work closely with ambitious startups at every stage to quickly enable groundbreaking 0-to-one products and features, providing early access to Google’s advanced AI models, expertise and potential funds to realize bold AI ideas,” the fund’s mission states.
As AI founders are about to break through, Google’s latest move could provide a rare combination of reliability, computing resources and capital that is under every roof.
