Everything is cool between Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner as far as their kids are concerned.

On Tuesday’s (June 2) episode of the Jonas Brothers’ new podcast, Hey Jonas, the DNCE frontman delved into how his co-parenting relationship with the Game of Thrones actress (they were married for four years) has helped him on an overall level. “I’m a single father and co-parent with my children’s mother,” he began, answering a listener who asked him what was the most “healing” thing about becoming a parent for the Joe Bros.

“I think my children gave me purpose in life again,” he continued. “They’re the reason I’m able to do what I do now, which is go to work…Knowing that I can work hard without them and that I can go back to that shared time with them makes it so much easier to work that hard. In my saddest moments, a hug from them can quickly remind me that I can solve the world’s problems in my world.”

“I’m grateful to have co-parents who keep me balanced even on bad days.” [with]”It’s been really special to have good people around me to help me get through this,” Joe added. They have taught me that even on the most difficult days, I will be okay. ”

The musician has two young daughters with Turner. In 2023, the couple released a statement saying, “After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to end our marriage amicably… Truly, this is a united decision, and we sincerely ask that you respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”

However, before the divorce was finalized the following year, the situation between the two briefly became contentious as Turner sued Joe for allegedly refusing to hand over his daughter’s passport and preventing her from returning to England. After reaching a custody agreement with the singer in January 2024, she dropped the lawsuit and the two now share custody of the girls.

“My children have amazing women to look up to, including their mother,” Joe said on the School of Greatness podcast in July of this year. “We have a great co-parenting relationship and that’s really important to me.”

Joe is currently dating Tatiana Gabriela, and they made their relationship official in April by sharing photos and video blogs from a recent trip to Puerto Rico on social media. He released his solo album, Music For People Who Believe In Love, last year, which reached number 24 on the Billboard 200. The Jonas Brothers’ 2025 album Greetings From Your Hometown peaked at No. 6.
