Syracuse, NY (AP) – A group of high school students in upstate New York are threatened with accusations of lure if participants are not transformed into authorities through lacrosse teams hasting pranks accused of staging armed aid of young players.

Prosecutors allege that members of the Lacrosse program at West Hill High School, a suburb of Syracuse, have planned a team trip to McDonald’s.

The suspect is led to believe he will be abandoned by a remote location, but is returned to his home without being physically injured.

“I cannot properly express this community the stupidity and lack of judgment involved in this case,” Fitzpatrick told reporters Tuesday evening.

Fitzpatrick said the person driving five young players on his team pretended to get lost, and other participants in the prank were on standby and pulled to a place armed with at least one knife and a weapon that looked like a gun.

That’s when students launch a fake aid. The student was not physically injured, but “emotionally, it will be long-term,” Fitzpatrick said.

“This is not a Halloween-fire, illuminating a bag that thrusts into the driveway, it’s a criminal act,” he said.

The event was captured on video, and Fitzpatrick said the local sheriff’s office identified 11 people they believe were directly or indirectly involved. With a trick. He will face low-level charges that will provide people who are 18 until Thursday and will not bring prison time.

Those who do not submit themselves will face felony charges.

“Don’t cry to me two weeks from now and say, ‘You charged my little baby with an invitation.’ Yes, yes, most of my prosecutors are on videotapes,” Fitzpatrick said.

Messages seeking comment were left to West Hill School District Principal Steve Dunham.

In a statement provided to syracuse.com Earlier this week, he said: “Our top priority is always the physical safety, mental health and well-being of our students,” he said, “Any behavior that negatively affects any of these aspects of other students will be dealt promptly and appropriately in accordance with the Code of Conduct.”
