Isaiah Steinfeld, a former Amazon executive who helped drive global startups growth on AWS, has launched something new. After working with over 330,000 startups through AWS programs such as the Genai Initiative’s Activate and Shape Startage, Steinfeld is currently leading venture studio and innovation consultant Neue Alchemy, and is leaning towards:
Neue Alchemy: Inside a post-AI venture studio supported by leaders from AWS, Nike and Fiverr
Neue Alchemy is more than just another buzzword-filled studio. This is a company supported by real-world experience from leaders who have built for brands like Nike, Lyft, Upwork, Agility Robotics and more. the goal? Adopt emerging technologies and quickly turn them into market-ready businesses.
“Neue Alchemy is here to help organizations navigate the following: This new innovation cycle is always on and we need to change today while ensuring that large companies can maintain their pace,” Steinfeld said. “We combine the strategic thinking of big technology with the creative instincts of bold brands to drive actual execution at startup speed.”
The studio operates at the intersection of AI, mobility, commerce and culture. The founding team brings deep industry experience, including:
CEO Isaiah Steinfeld – known for his work at AWS and Nike Valiant Labs, he built an innovation arm and helped launch a startup within the corporate environment.
Justin Wang, Builder-in-Residence – Robotics and Autonomous Systems Engineer who played past roles in Agility Robotics, Nio, and Daimler Truck AG.
Maggie McGowan, Executive in Residence – Co-author of the banner test, which explores the role of aesthetics in AI, with a runway experience at Michael Kors.
Matt Jensen, GM of Alchemist Network – former global community lead at Fiverr, and an early team member at Lyft and Upwork.
Operating Partners David Monheit and Zach Adamson – Co-founder of Nike Valiant Labo’s entrepreneur and diving brands, with expertise in culture, technology and digital retail experiences.
Neue Alchemy is set up to run, not just an idea studio. The services cover everything from building a corporate-backed startup to building a guideline for innovation strategies and creating an ecosystem of talent. What sets the team apart is the ability to combine long-term vision with practical product work.
They’re already building practical examples: Alchmy Coffee is an autonomous consumer coffee brand that went from idea to launch within two weeks. This is a genuine product and sold to real customers, but also serves as a proof of concept that allows AI tools to build brands faster when they meet smart execution.
“Alchmy Coffee is a practical case study of how to launch a physical brand in a post-AI world,” says Steinfeld. “As a test of what’s possible, we built it within two weeks. It’s an autonomous small batch coffee brand with beans, roasting, packaging, payment processing, fulfillment, marketing, or Genai-driven, autonomous product for real customers, and the DTC brand becomes a live demonstration with the right mix of AI tools and human creations.”
The project has already attracted attention and has been nominated for Fast Company’s 2025 Innovation by Design Awards in AI Design and Rising Categories.
To support venture building efforts, the company has launched an Alchemist Network. This is a partner and talent network built to keep things moving. The network includes freelancers, boutique agents, corporate teams, startups and VCs. It is structured to connect people who know how to build with people who have tools, capital or ideas to make it happen.
“The Alchemist Network combines human expertise with AI capabilities to create an unparalleled ecosystem of innovation, connecting cutting-edge tools and special talent to build groundbreaking projects at the pace needed in today’s rapidly evolving market,” says Steinfeld.
Next on the Roadmap: Neue Alchemy deploys applications for fellowship and learning platforms focused on venture building, innovation and emerging technologies.
Neue Alchemy doesn’t just speculate about the future. It’s making bets, building quickly, and inviting others to ride. There is no hype.
