Meghan Markle enjoys girls’ night with Malala Yousafzai in first London outing since UK return
Meghan Markle enjoyed a girls’ night out with Malala Yousafzai in the Duchess of Sussex’s first London outing since returning to the UK.
According to a TikTok video, the former actress and Yousafzai were seen dining together in the background at Claridge’s, a five-star hotel in the heart of London’s Mayfair neighborhood.
Markle, 45, and the Pakistani education activist, 29, appeared deep in conversation as they sat across from each other.
The “Suits” alum looked chic in a white long-sleeved shirt, while the Nobel Prize winner rocked a beige coat.
“POV: Claridge’s decided to seat Meghan Markle and Malala in front of you,” TikTok user @losrodriguez.mx captioned the video Wednesday.
Yousafzai and Markle first connected in 2020 during a virtual conversation hosted by the Malala Fund to discuss the International Day of the Girl, barriers to girls’ education and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on students worldwide.
“Meghan and I are on the same page: we both believe that when girls have access to education, everyone wins,” Yousafzai tweeted after the meeting.
“Thank you so much to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex for sitting down with me to have an important conversation about the future of our world. ♥️,” she added.
This girls’ dinner marks the first time Markle has been seen in London since she, her husband, Prince Harry, and their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, moved back to the UK at the end of August.
Page Six exclusively reported that the couple relocated back across the pond to be closer to Harry’s dad, King Charles III, who is currently battling cancer, and to ensure their children build relationships with family.
The Sussexes have been settling in since their arrival, with Markle being seen out and about on several occasions.
Last month, the mom of two met with Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, at a pub near Burford, Oxfordshire.
And just last week, Markle and the Duke of Sussex, 42, were seen holding hands as they arrived at a Cotswolds pub for lunch.
