Microsoft Build 2025: What to expect from Azure to Copilot upgrades

Microsoft is holding its annual build developer meeting next week from May 19th to 22nd. This event is guaranteed to include announcements about new AI integrations, services and apps, including Windows.

In last year’s build, Microsoft announced that it will be integrated into Copilot’s Microsoft team, PCs with Copilot+ AI, Windows Volume apps for Meta Quest headsets and more.

Keynotes are streamed online for free. As for what to expect, there is a good reason why Microsoft announces deeper integration of Copilot Generative AI, both consumers and businesses, with many of its software products.

In November last year, the company raised the prices of many software products, including Windows 365, Office 365 and Microsoft 365 by 5%. To justify these increases, companies can introduce new AI-powered features and features.

Copilot is likely the build headliner, and there could be a major change to it in the middle. Microsoft is reportedly testing alternative AI models from Xai, Meta, Anthropic and Deepseek as possible alternatives to Copilot’s Openai technology, as the relationship between Microsoft and Openai is tense.

On Windows, Copilot can gain the “agent” feature that allows the technology to autonomously perform basic PC tasks. The well-known leak test Catalog found a reference to the action button in the Windows Copilot client that allows you to kick off a specific “daily task” when selected.

Microsoft is also said to have developed Openai’s own family of competitive MAI models that Tech Giant is considering offering via APIs. The build could be where Microsoft decided to announce these.

The company can also announce a follow-up to Azure Maia 100 AI Accelerator, a custom AI chip for Microsoft’s Azure Cloud Service. Last week, rumors about “Mya 2” bubbled up on social media. According to semiconductor analyst Ray Wang, chip maker Marvel has a deal to manufacture it.
