Microsoft Copilot Gets MacOS Apps

Microsoft has finally released the MacOS app for Copilot, a free, generator AI chatbot.

Like Openai’s ChatGPT and other AI chatbots, Copilot allows users to ask questions and receive AI-generated answers. Copilot is designed to assist users with a variety of tasks, including drafting emails, summarizing documents, and writing cover letters. There is also an image generator that drives the Dall-E 3.

The wait is over – we can finally hang out to macos! Download Copilot for Mac and try me today.

When Microsoft first launched Copilot two years ago, it was only available on Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari web browsers. It was not deployed in early 2024 on Android, iOS and iPads devices. AI Assistant is also integrated into teams, outlooks and other Microsoft apps. However, this new Copilot app offers a dedicated experience for Mac users.

One important point about MacOS apps is that you need MacOS 14.0 or later and you need a MAC model with the Apple M1 chip or later. Similarly, Apple’s AI system Apple Intelligence requires MACOS 15.1 and MAC models above M1 chip.

In other recent news, Microsoft announced earlier this week that all Copilot users have free and unlimited access to “voice” and “Think Deeper” features. Copilot’s voice capabilities help users practice new languages, but Think Deeper is driven by Openai’s O1 model, allowing them to tackle more complex tasks.
