Moca Network, the flagship project of the Animoca brand, Sk Planet, one of Korea’s largest information and communications technology platforms, has announced today the launch of OKI Club, a premium membership program that will integrate Sk3 technology into Sk Planet’s OK Cashbag App. Powered by Moca Network’s Air Kit SDK (Software Development Kit), Oki Club will allow retail users to natively access Web3 services within the Web2 app, bringing blockchain capabilities and interoperable digital identity to one of Korea’s most widely used consumer platforms. SK Planet users can earn rewards by joining the OKI club and signing up for an AIR account within the OK CashBag app.
The Oki Club represents the first large enterprise integration of air kits. This includes the global accounts, identity, and reputation layers that allow users to accumulate, own and use assets in a unified digital identity across multiple ecosystems and applications. Oki Club offers Web3 an attractive and rewarding pass to Korean onboard retail consumers by allowing consumers to maximize Web3’s exposure to Experience and rewards via one login entry point.
OK CashBag users who sign up for an Air account can earn rewards to join the OKI club in the form of OKB points and Moca coins. By acquiring identity and reputation data within your AIR account, users unlock additional in-app benefits within OK CashBag and the cross-ecosystem benefits from the broader MOCA network.
Before launch, Oki Club has attracted over 600,000 pre-registrations for early access from unique KYC’D users of OK CashBag, suggesting there is strong demand in Korea for blockchain integrated consumer applications.
By tapping SK Planet’s 28 million KYC enhanced users, OKI Club, MOCA Network and SK Planet’s partnership (announced November 26, 2024), the platform is set for widespread Web3 adoption on one of Korea’s most popular consumer platforms.
